One of my all time favorite movies is “While You Were Sleeping.” If you haven’t seen it you must check it out. There are so many great moments, songs and quotes in it. My favorite quote from it is “My dad told me that life doesn’t always turn out the way you planned…I just wish I realized at the time he was talking about my life.” Gosh, that is so true.
That quote is also true about photo shoots. Photo shoots rarely turn out the way the photographer or the parents plan. When photographing kids like the Feichter girls, the number one unpredicatble component is if a toddler and a baby will smile and look at the camera at the same time. And number two is if they will do what you try to get them to do.
While I like to think that I am pretty good with kids, they just don’t always “perform” the way you want them to – I think almost every parent knows that to be true.
So since life and photo shoots do not turn out the way we plan, the best thing to do is come ready to ride the waves.
The Feichter girls were beyond precious. I mean those curls! To die for! However, their synchronized smiles never really happened. Luckily, their mom knew that so we had a blast taking photos around the Downtown Arts District.
But seriously…those curls on big sister and those cheeks on baby sis…just precious!
